Butterfly Weed milkweed

A hardy native North American milkweed is home to monarch butterflies and caterpillars. This perennial has many tiny bright orange and yellow flowers. (Be aware: The milky sap is poisonous if ingested in large quantities. Contact with the skin may cause dermatitis in sensitive individuals.)
